Goodreads asked Season Sinclair:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Season Sinclair Writer's block seems to be inevitable but doesn't have to last forever. When I get tied up in historical details or character development, I step away from the manuscript for a season. I begin to look around more purposefully. I listen for conversations and stories that might spark some inspiration. Often, I just need a change of scenery. Sometimes I will go to a different manuscript and work on it, read over it, and edit it for a time. Once that has been done, I can usually return to my original story and begin to write refreshed. Of course, sometimes the remedy for writer's block is simply just to write.
