Goodreads asked Timothy L. Radle:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Timothy L. Radle It depends where I am in a project, honestly.

If I'm at the very beginning and inspiration just isn't there, I play my guitar for a little while. I'll go back to the project when my fingers are sore and usually be able to proceed.

If, on the other hand, the project is well established, I'll read some portion of the writing that came before, hoping to squash the block like an insect. If instead the insect wins, I'll almost always try the guitar trick, return and try again.

Nature works well in either case if a guitar is not available.
