George
George asked Jamie Beck:

The writing style of In The Cards was all first person, alternating between Lindsey and Levi. You wrote recently that this book was the first manuscript you sold, but If I recall correctly, you did not use this alternating first person style in any subsequent book. Two questions: Why did you change your writing style, and do you intend to go back to the alternating first person narrative in the future?

Jamie Beck You're perceptive! Yes, currently that is the only book to date that I've written in first person. At the time, I was advised that most editors at publishing houses preferred third person. However, I've recently noticed a trend where more authors are writing in first person. I like the immediacy and intimacy of it, so for the proposal I've put in for 2020 titles, I'm pitching another new series and a switch to writing in first person. Fingers crossed that my publisher likes the ideas and buys the books!
