How do you get inspired to write?

Jerry Lambert No writer is always ON. No matter what your process we all need to tap into that part of our brain before we begin the creative process. For me, if I am not yet in the mood, I have a technique where I write without direction or grammar or punctuation for half an hour to prime the pump. I just start brainstorming, not to do with whatever I'm working on, just mindlessly storytelling. And usually when I turn back to my story I am ready to be in that world.
