Hi Jon I have recently discovered your books and I am really impressed by the range of material. I was just wondering, how do you choose what to write about next and how do you stay focused while writing? (p.s. have you thought about writing a fantasy/horror hybrid story?)

Although I generally stick to one genre (splatterpunk/extreme horror), I always like adding a little bit variety to my lineup. So, a few times a year, I take a step back and look at what I've released and what I want to release. Then I reorganize my schedule to keep things fresh. Real-life events (including my own emotions) sometimes influence my release schedule as well. If I feel depressed or angry, then I'll write something really dark. And, I think outlining my books has helped me stay focused on writing. I always feel like I have direction thanks to my outlines.
And, I have thought about writing a fantasy/horror story! I actually hope to explore more subgenres next year and I would love to do a Clive Barker-esque novel.

Are you planning in publishing any more of your older books in paperback soon? Was really glad to finally be able to get Her Suffering. Dying for many more though! Camp Blaze, Erotomanic, Bad Appetites, Captives and Captores, Sinister Syndromes and Land of the Deviant please! :)
