How do you get inspired to write?

Todd Hampson I've found that developing new book concepts are 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. That initial creative spark sends you on a journey but it is truly hard work to finish something big. I've also found that when working on a book, I usually have to start writing with out feeling inspired. Then once I get into the writing after about 15-20 minutes the creativity and inspiration come. So, in developing a concept it starts with inspiration. In completing a major project inspiration comes out of daily habits and a commitment to just chip away at it daily—whether I feel like it or not.
