I have just finished reading At the Loch of the Green Corrie and thoroughly enjoyed it but wondered why you referred to shinty sticks as hockey clubs as they are nothing like hockey clubs. Also just loved to hear of Iain Crichton Smith as he was my english teacher in high school. Also loved the ref. when fishing using black pennel and zulu flies, husband used them and fish won't rise if east wind, all familiar?
