I was reading something online about full moons in October. The thought of a full moon on October 31st sparked my imagination and that evening I started writing my Halloween short story The Witch's Moon.
A lot of times my ideas come to me at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. A few times I've dreamed about a story, but forgot it by morning because I didn't make time to write it down.
