How do you get inspired to write?

Xenia Tran Most of my inspiration comes from spending so much time in nature. My husband and I enjoy hiking and walking with the dogs when poems keep tapping me on the shoulder. I usually carry a small notebook with me to jot down the initial idea, which I develop later when I am back home.

I tend to take photographs on our walks too and sometimes, when a poem didn't come during the walk itself, an idea lands on the page when I am running the images through Lightroom.
