How do you get inspired to write?

R.S. Beck People inspire me -- their stories, experiences, emotions, and capacity to surprise you. I listen, and I watch. Travel and gray, rainy days often make me reflect and dream. Also, never underestimate the value of "place" -- some places are so beautiful, or gloomy, or silent that I just want to capture the feeling of the place on a page. I have a particular fondness for forests and truly old graveyards. Any place where I can be alone with my thoughts is inspiring -- especially in this hectic world.
