My wife 'inspired' me. I have a mind that craves activity. My career kept me constantly engaged, but with being recently retired I must now seek my own diversions. As a soldier, being faced with cold, wet winter weather was just another day. Now I view those conditions differently. I believe my wife became tired of me pacing the floor when the weather was bad; writing puts me in one spot for hours at a time.
