Tess
Tess asked Kate Willis:

How do you manage to keep writing until you finish? I have problems sticking to a story.

Kate Willis Well, Tessa, the short answer is--candy bars. My longer answer is that I struggle with the same thing too, so you're definitely not alone in that. One way I've coped with it is by allowing myself to switch between projects but only after I've hit a goal (such as finishing a draft or a certain amount of rewrites). This helps me not get bored with having the same project forever and also allows me to have time away from a project to see it more clearly. Another way I've dealt with this is by plotting out my longer stories. This way I know exactly how much I've accomplished and how much I have left without feeling like I'm getting nowhere. ;) And one more thing I like to do is write down new story ideas so they won't distract me but also so I won't forget them. ;) I hope this was helpful, and thank you for the question. ;)
