Goodreads asked Stacey Brown Randall:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Stacey Brown Randall My business started as a way to find business success after coming off of a business failure. I wanted to grow my second business by referrals but didn’t like the conventional, old-school advice that I just needed to ask.

I wanted to generate or receive referrals without asking so I set out to crack the code on how to do that. Once I figured it out, I started to teach other small business owners and solopreneurs how to generate referrals without asking following my 5 steps. Then I created my online program, Growth By Referrals, to help more business owners follow my 5 steps and I am privileged to say we have six different countries represented in the program!

The natural next step for me was to write my book about my 5 steps to share it with even more people. I think access to information is one of the greatest privileges of our lives. And as an entrepreneur who wants to help as many people as possible, I believe it’s an honor to provide that information in different formats. Publishing a book is one avenue to get information into the hands of as many solopreneurs and small business owners as possible.
