This question contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[Are you planning to write a sequel to The Field Guide...Teenager? This book was so delightfully witty and revelatory, and since it was left open-ended... I thought that in the final chapters, Norris might remove all the previous notebook pages and list all Maddie's wonderful qualities, then those he'd finally come to realize about Liam, Patrick, etc. saying this is the real truth. And perhaps a love triangle too... (hide spoiler)]

Thanks for the kind words! There are no sequels planned at the moment.
Although, I do love these messed up kids. Norris was just one more person with baggage walking into Anderson High: they all have their own equally messy lives in my head. In a perfect world, a sequel would focus on one of these other characters with NK as a supporting character. Be it the cheerleader ready to be a little selfish, the manic pixie with a reputation, or Liam, who is low-key my favorite. Meredith & Pat have a whole thing, too. There's a notebook somewhere...
Anyway, no official sequel at the moment, ha. Ask me again in a few years?

Hey Ben! It’s been a few years, man. What are our thoughts on a sequel? Getting to hear the perspective of Norris Kaplan as he figured out- like most teenagers do- that the world doesn’t revolve around him was beyond insightful and interesting. I believe hearing your ideas from other characters views, from where they were left off would fuel the theme of learning and growing as teens. Enjoyed your writing very much!
