Goodreads asked Elizabeth Chiles Shelburne:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Elizabeth Chiles Shelburne I'm supposed to "write through it" but too often I let it infect me like a virus, moving from cell to cell, until I am paralyzed with indecision. So, I read a lot of books, think about what's working or not for those books, which ultimately helps me see the way through. I suppose you could say that I "read through it." It's a slower process, perhaps, but it's worked so far. This year, though, as I finish the first draft of my next book, I am determined to try to write through the blocks!
