Goodreads asked Scott De Buitléir:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Scott De Buitléir I treat writer's block like a signal by my subconscious, telling me to let the story ferment in whichever depth of my mind I am drawing it from. Once my inspiration is recharged, or my mind has had enough rest to find the next path for the story or specific characters in it, I continue. As I don't write for my "day job", I have the liberty to put down and pick up my writing projects whenever I like, but if I have enough faith and interest in the story, I won't let it go for too long.
