How do you get inspired to write?

Kathryn Heaney Inspiration comes from my imagination, ideas others put into my head, things I see, from other authors, from situations my characters get themselves into - LOL! I always know how my story is going to start and how it is going to end. What happens in the middle is a complete mystery to me. It's fascinating to see what predicaments my characters get into. I have spent many family car rides up to visit my in-laws brainstorming with my daughters after I explain to them the corner I have written my characters into. Sometimes I have to scrap some of what I have written and start over again. Sometimes someone comes up with a brilliant solution...
