Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sherri Lupton Hollister Red Steel was influenced by my youngest son, a volunteer firefighter and his wife, a photographer. They have allowed me to use their photos in several of my promos. My son spoke to my writers' group about being a firefighter and first-responder. Because we are from a small town he has been able to take advantage of training that in a larger city he would have had to chose a specialty. He is a rescue diver, swimmer, firefighter and first-responder, he is even part of our local land and sea search and rescue teams. I'm very proud. His wife is a stay at home mom and photographer. She has a real eye with the camera. My author photo and a couple of my covers are thanks to her.
All of my books are influenced by the people, places and events around me.
