Goodreads asked Sherri Lupton Hollister:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sherri Lupton Hollister To be a good writer you must first be a good reader. Read everything you can. I don't have as much time to read books for pleasure anymore but I have discovered a love of audiobooks. I read or listen to books constantly. If I'm not reading or writing, I am listening to other authors on YouTube or taking online classes or attending writing workshops. With so much available online, keep learning but just write. Write as if no one is looking as if it is only for your pleasure, then go back and edit like you want to share it with your favorite author. Believe in yourself. Find your people, other writers and get encouraged by them.
