How do you get inspired to write?

Anne F. Balcom My initial inspiration was my mom who had dementia, her final diagnosis after being terminally ill for over 30 years. I was so worried about her after her dementia diagnosis, how it would affect my dad and his health since he was Mom's primary caregiver, and how my sister and I would handle the current and future needs of our parents. After that my subject matter was any of the thoughts I had running through my head that wouldn't go away until I jotted them down.
