Goodreads asked Amber K. Bryant:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Amber K. Bryant I've never had writer's block, but I have gone through slumps in writing. These slumps were caused by the burn out many of us face when we are trying to juggle a full-time day job, a family, plus a growing writing career. Allowing myself a few days off will usually resolve this, as will having a concrete deadline I'm working towards.

I'm not a huge plotter, but the plotting I do do is vital. If you are struggling with writers block, I suggest learning about plotting and structure. It's much harder to have writer's block if you've already mapped out how the story is going to end and have at least a loose idea of what will happen in each chapter to get you to that ending.
