How do you get inspired to write?

M.J. Javani I find my inspiration for story topics in the news. As is often said,"truth is stranger than fiction." When it comes to writing thriller or espionage novels, there are many topics in the news that make me wonder, "what would happen if someone wanted to X or Y or Z?" I just take those ideas and begin to play with them. Oftentimes if the consequences to the world are catastrophic, I want to write about them so readers can become aware of the staggering dangers facing human civilization.
