J.D. Barker:
I have been following the story of murder suspect Robert Durst. Know about him? You write murder mysteries and you have Aspergers so maybe you will know the answer to my question. Durst's Defense witness, a psychiatrist, claimed that Durst had Aspergers and people with this condition cannot generate enough emotion to become enraged or hate to commit murder ergo he did not commit the murders. Opinions?

Without speaking to Durst, I wouldn't really be able to weigh in on something like this. Aspergers (like anything else) has various levels and extremes that vary from person to person.

When you were speaking at Brentwood library in Pittsburgh a couple months ago you said your next book, which will come out in 2019, will be set in Brentwood, You mentioned the title and I wrote it down but I cannot find it. So--can you tell me the name of the book again and its release date? Is the title a certainty or can it be changed? Looking forward to this book especially as it will be set in my neighborhood!

Someone on FB posted that she was currently reading Harlan Coban's Tell No One and the alias of one of the characters is made up by taking her middle name as her first name and the name of the road she grew up on as her surname. Have you as an author ever considered this idea to invent a character's name? Think it would be fun to choose a name that way.
