Is the wonderful cottage (I've affectionately called the cottage of requirement) that bridges the Staryk and human worlds in Spinning Silver, by any chance Agnieszka's cottage? It seems like a kindness that she and the maybe even the Dragon might have left behind.

Naomi Novik It is Baba Jaga's cottage! Which is not necessarily always in the same place and time. And this didn't end up making it into Uprooted so isn't canon, but in my head, Agnieszka did find her cottage (in some disrepair), rather than build it from scratch, so it might also be hers. :D

On similar lines, I sometimes wonder what her books would look like in your universe (which I love with abandon). Do you think she would have written Captain Wentworth as being in the Aerial Corps or kept him in the Navy?
