My first series with Dixie Flannigan was gritty, sometimes dark, often sarcastically humorous. I enjoy being Dixie. She's a hoot.
But I hate getting bogged down in one personality, so I created Booker Krane, male, somewhat older, curmudgeonly at times. His first appearance in Here Lies a Wicked Man captured a new group of readers, and that's fun for me. So I'm working on book 2, Here Lies a Brazen Woman, which I plan to publish in summer 2016.
