Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mary A. Felkins Ideas were simmering for several years. Eventually, they emerged into dialogue and scene ideas. When we moved from Houston, Texas to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, I was inspired by the beauty of the area and thought it'd be special to feature Hickory as the setting for a contemporary romance novel. I have a sister who worked emergency nursing and wondered what it would look like if two crisis-driven professions (an ER nurse and a cop) who don't hesitate to answer emergency calls were faced with risking their heart in order to answer the call to love.
