The list is endless but I would say a possibly wonderful side effect is that it betters the way I speak in person. My writing voice and my more eloquent characters have settled beneath my skin and when I talk to others, I tend to mirror them in a way that I have become more polished in my diction.
Other than that, I love showing people my books, the covers, the pages, having them awe at something I created. I never tire of that.
