How do you deal with writer’s block?

Darcie Wilde Usually, if I’m blocked, it’s one of two things. I’m tired, in which case the answer is to let me and the project rest for a day or two. Or, I’m not considering the point of view/motivations of one or more of the characters, in which case the answer is to think through the scene from everybody’s point of view, including the cat’s, and make sure I do in fact know what’s really happening here.
