The question is more, how do I pick from among so many ideas? A book is a serious time commitment. Ideas abound. What if my cats were intelligent and lived on a space station? What if my daughter's schoolteachers were being infiltrated with trolls? Other ideas clamor for attention. Eventually I pick the story most wanting to be told, and tell it.
