Hi, Paul. You may have already answered this question, but I didn't go back very far in the question section. When did you start writing and what brought you to it? I think that I first read you in an anthology but don't remember which exactly. I read both novels and short stories. I enjoy anthologies for the reason that I find new, lesser known authors to read.
Paul Tremblay
I started in my mid-twenties (not sure why to be honest, as I had no writing training, and went to school for mathematics), got serious in my late 20's early 30's and it was a long, windy climb from there. Reading Joyce Carol Oates, Stephen King, Peter Straub, Clive Barker, Kurt Vonnegut, Shirley Jackson and more inspired me to try my hand at it.

You know I love your books. You are my favorite author Fer reals. I am listening to your Rocktober Poplife Podcast episode. I just can't imagine how anyone squares "best-selling author" with their own biography. Two questions: 1. Did you know you'd be this successful/popular? 2. Do you ever wake up and think...."Naw. This can't be real in a Talking Heads "Once in a Lifetime" way?

You couldn't have known about COVID when you drafted. But- masks, speed, ignoring medical knowledge, co-opting by wing-nuts- it's COVID. And Remola knows better. But, she puts everyone else at risk to help her BFF. I get that. I think I would do that. As I understand it, you're a teacher too. What's the lesson for us with school opening? Maybe there is none. But, it's impossible for me to drop that lens. You?

Hey Paul, thanks for being my new favorite author. Honestly, I cried when I read A cabin at the end of the world, and I couldn't sleep last night after I finished A head full of ghosts, because I was scared. You are doing a great job and I enjoy reading you a lot. So my question is: do you plan on writing a sequel to A head full of ghosts? Or a story focus on Merry, cause I LOVE HER and I don't want to say goodbye!
