Gosh, my advice is to GO FOR IT. I've heard so many people grumble that everybody considers themselves a writer nowadays. But that smacks of elitism because I personally would be really interested to read a story written by my chiropractor, etc. It's an exciting time for writers and readers alike, so get your story out there.
