Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Liz Mistry The one I've just finished writing (DS Nikki Parekh #2) was inspired by a talk I went to at Bradford Literature Festival in 2018 by Baroness Lola young about modern day slavery. The idea haunted me and I began to research just how prevelant it is. I then was driving home through the snow one day a few months later and visibility was poor and I could barely see the vehicle in front ... that became the start of Nikki book 2. Sorry I can't giveaway the title just yet. There will be an announcement in the New Year and it will be available from April 2020
