Goodreads asked Monique Gliozzi:

How do you get inspired to write?

Monique Gliozzi I used to write short stories as a young girl. Then for many years didn't consider it, until my father began writing after he retired from work (aged 70). He planted the seed by getting me to read his work and give feedback. It was three years later that I began getting ideas for a story while on holiday in Alaska (2017). I would jot down ideas on scraps of paper, eventually a story emerged. I find that the ideas come when I am most relaxed ( with a busy work schedule I don't go on vacation often, but work out daily, so usually after the rush of endorphins after a power walk, an idea may float into my conscious mind).
