Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lucy McConnell Happy Friday!

My most recent book, as of this question, is "Robyn: Marrying Miss Kringle Book 4."

I've been writing this series for over 4 years and as I think back to the time when I wrote the first book, "Ginger," I was so thrilled with the idea of doing a Christmas family centered book.

But it couldn't be just any family.

I wanted to share the Santa story in a whole new way.

Part of "Robyn" came about as the other books were written. Each one of Santa's daughters inherited some of his magical abilities. One can deliver presents all day and all night. Another can speed read and organize letters. Robyn handles stocking stuffers, baking, and elf relations.

She's had a rough go as she's the oldest and 3 of her 4 sisters have already tied the knot. But she can't give up on love because to give up on love is to give up on Christmas--and Kringles don't do that!

So, long story short, the inspiration for "Robyn" came from spending time in the kitchen with my children baking sugar cookies, taking plates full of fudge and chocolate to the neighbors, and enjoying a cup of mint cocoa.

Happy reading!
Lucy
