How do you get inspired to write?

Scott C. Smith I'm always inspired to write, since I was a kid. For years I focused on my news writing/editing, writing novels on and off, mostly off. But the spark to write fiction has always been there, and I finally decided to prioritize that. Now I get up every day at 4, make a big pot of coffee, and write till 7. Then I take my wife coffee, with gratitude for her support. I'm very lucky to have a wonderful wife and a great day job -- and now to do this regularly.
