My advice to aspiring writers - and advice that I would give to my younger self - is to not stop writing. Don't throw away drafts of stories or work you don't like. Keep them. In the movies, you see the dramatic scene where the aspiring writer deletes their entire manuscript only to sit down and write their magnum opus. THAT IS NOT REAL LIFE. Never delete.
