Jacqueline E. Smith I decided to make her an interior decorator after attending a party that our dear family friend (also an interior decorator) invited us to see some of her work. I thought it was just the coolest job ever and I knew that's what I wanted Kate to do! As for her disability, it came to me one night after reading an article on the brain. I find it fascinating what the brain is capable of enduring and how it mends itself, even if some of it's information is altered or deleted.
