How do you get inspired to write?

Allie Slocum My dream to be an author started in 3rd grade. I wrote a whole series called "Love is..." on half sheets of paper, folded and stapled together. Fast forward 35 years and I wanted to do something special for the group of girls meeting at my house participating in a Character Club I'd created. They were about to head off to Middle School. I wrote Jeanie Blair, Author Extraordinaire as a "graduation" gift to them to help them remember the traits we studied together.
