Read Providence and really enjoyed it but who was the prophet? Is it one that we know from the Bible or is it just a character that was written for the book? Looking forward for your answer. Its driving me crazy not knowing!!lol

Hi Christine! I'm so happy you liked "Providence." The story is similar to Naaman's story in II Kings 5 where the prophet Elisha heals Naaman. Since Hannah's story is derived from II Kings 5, but not exact, I didn't name the prophet who healed my Naabak. The theology is the same in both stories. We see the kingdom of God going out from the Israelites into the heart of an enemy (Aramean) army commander.

Barbara just read Heavenly Lights. Amazing as usual!! I read it in one day. I just love the story of Noah and Jeremiah. I found myself routing for Jeremiah the whole way through the book!!
