On the same day I saw Mark Lawrence review Paternus, I also saw a review on Novel Notions on the third in the series. I try to recognize the hints life gives me...I'm supposed to read this series. That said, I am definitely more of a hardback book guy. I wanted to see whether the series is in hardback or if they are all paperback? The limited places I've found the first book are all in paperback. Thanks!

Hi Phil! Very sorry I'm just seeing this. For some reason Goodreads doesn't send me notifications of new questions.
Last November I ran a Kickstarter for hardbacks of book 1 and it went incredibly well, so I now have hardbacks of book 1. I'll be running two more Kickstarters for hardbacks of books 2 and 3, the first later this summer or early fall.
Thank you for asking!

A fellow thespian from Ohio ! Excellent ! Obviously I will be searching for both Paternus books to read. And I will forgive you being of Campbell blood only because you killed English ;) and of course... having Bruce Campbell among your ranks. How does a country boy from Ohio rise up to become an author and where did the idea for your books spring from? Do you have any tips for aspiring authors in Ohio?

I thought that the Firstborn didn't have dopels because Pater was only on the one world, and that's also why Bad Zeke was so abused. So how is it that Edgar had three who ultimately got him killed?? Maybe this will be answered when I am farther into book 3 but I was thrown off by it, since there have never been any dopels of other first/Thirdborns before this. Maybe I missed something.
