Hi! I wonder, what was your inspiration for all the different kinds of mainland fairies (great wanded fairies, lesser wanded fairies, shimmering fairies, spell-casting fairies) in your Fairy Dust trilogy books?

Gail Carson Levine I don't remember, but I'm sure I made a list of possibilities. Since I wasn't going to write about each kind in detail, I could let my imagination run wild.
