I'm so glad you enjoyed that scene because I was most definitely snort-laughing while I wrote it! :) Things that inspire my humor: my husband (easily the funniest person I know), other humorous writers (Sophie Kinsella is sooo good at this!) and performers (Sarah Cooper's Trump videos are my current fave!). :) -Sandhya xx

Hi, I'ma soon-to-be sophomore in high school, and since you are one of my fave authors and since I love your books and how interesting they are, I want to ask you: How can I write a not boring (historical fiction) book? Because I want to write an interesting novel about the revolution/uprising/crisis/how unfair the militia is being in (north) Sudan, and I want many people in the United States to know about it.
