Marc R. Micciola The sound of my bedroom door slowly creaking open caused me to doubt my memory of locking the doors as I squeezed my eyes shut in the hopes that whatever, or whoever, was causing my door to move was just a figment of my imagination. I curled into a ball, hoping and praying that I was only dreaming of the cool air that washed over me but, just as I was beginning to convince myself this was all a bad dream, I was pulled from my bed by a damp, clawed hand.
