What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Troy Aaron Ratliff Write down every story idea no matter how stupid, silly, or out there you think it is, and outline your stories, but don't get so wrapped up into the quick and short-lived satisfaction of outlining and seeing your whole story on paper in one spot to not do the work of writing the words to make the book/novella/short story. Because then you're missing our on all the funnest parts of writing: embellishing.
