Goodreads asked Jacqui D. Williams:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jacqui D. Williams While I was sitting in church during the altar call, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart to write a book that would be encouraging to anyone that was not solid in their relationship with Jesus Christ. My heart is seriously moved when people come to the altar for rededication after backsliding. It is hard to understand why they come up front for this and not just go to God on their own and repent and ask God to forgive them. When you have already given your life to the Lord, why do have to go up front to rededicate, God never left you. He is right there with you at all times, you can pray, repent, and ask God to forgive you and to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. Nobody else can do this for you, you have the open door to come to God on your own. But like I mention in my book, do what makes you feel comfortable, if you need someone to pray with you and help to walk you through this, then by all means do this. That's why I wrote the book, to help encourage others to spend time with God by reading His Word, this will help to increase your confidence and build a stronger foundation with God, so you are able to stand on your own. We must take the time to spend quality time with the Lord, so when things like this happen, such as, if you backslide and you come to realize there is nothing else and no one else out there that can bring satisfaction to your soul. Then you will already know that you can run to God and pour your heart out to Him in all sincerity. You can ask God to forgive you and to wash you clean in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Remember, know how to encourage yourself in the Lord, for the times you may not have access to the Church and there is no altar that you can come to; so, then what will you do? You then would have no one to walk you through, you will have to know how to walk yourself through and do your own private praying. Spend time in God's presence so you will know Him for yourself, and not have to rely on someone else's relationship with God - you will have your own.
