Goodreads asked Larry Rhoton:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Larry Rhoton I’ve been fortunate when it comes to writer’s block; I don’t think I’ve experienced this. Sometimes I don’t feel as creative as I need to be or think I should be, but I don’t stop writing. I may write some terrible sentences, paragraphs, and pages, but I keep writing. The next day I go back and edit what I wrote.

If you come to a halt, create a new adversary, hero, or have one of your characters kill someone. Your mind will take off from there. LOL

When you’re not writing, think about what you’ve written. I do this when I’m driving or mowing the lawn. Then when I start writing, I’ll add some charm, a murder, a missing person, or a new villain. Writer’s block is the perfect time to bring a new character into your story and down a side avenue. In the end, you’ll tie it all together.
