Goodreads asked Anthony Barbera:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Anthony Barbera I don't get writer's block, only writer's fatigue. You have to stay with a novel until it's right--the best you can do. It may take a year, or five years. However, I don't write quickly and that is a weakness. When you go back a few years later, perhaps to clean up some grammar, etc. if you like the novel -- you've done your job. That's my goal, to write so that I am engaged with the work. So that I would finish my own book. Truthfully, I don't complete reading more than 20% of the books I begin--for various reasons.
