What made you decide to write about about vampire-werewolf romance as opposed to vampire-vampire or werewolf-werewolf romance?

One thing I wanted to emphasize in FANGS is that it's possible to love someone who is not only flawed, but very different from yourself. I really liked that Elsie and Jimmy could bond over a mutual feeling of freakishness, but because their "conditions" are so vastly different, there's a lot they have to navigate and learn about each other. That tension was a lot of fun for me to play with.
