Knowing I have an exciting scene to work on is the best inspiration. But I can't wait for inspiration to strike. Most of the time it's a matter of sitting down at the computer and putting words on the page, even if I don't like what I'm writing. It's always easier for me to edit what I've written than to do the initial cold writing.
