Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kimberly Packard The story for Pardon Falls came to me during a 10-hour drive. I thought Phoenix was done, but the characters told me otherwise. Driving is therapeutic for me (I am a Texan after all) so many of my stories are "written" behind the wheel. Ideas also hit me when I least expect it - hearing a news story or even waking up. And, when they hit it's like being hit with a literary tsunami. The whole thing hits at once. It's exhilarating and frightening at the same time.
